This lovely family home in Redland was purchased by a young family, in 2020. They needed to get in during Covid lockdowns, doing only what was necessary.
I helped them to figure out a general style to suite their taste and arranged decorators and carpet cleaners. This was passed on to the decorators PJ Daly's team www.bristolpainters.co.uk who did a lovely job.
I designed joinery and new custom wardrobes, shelving and kitchen door, which were beautifully made by the joiner, Rob Lillis. I helped the family source some gorgeous new sofas and ottoman & front curtains, made bespoke by Sofa Library. I sourced lighting, cushions, rugs and some key 2nd hand storage pieces in the dining room start to make this feel like home.
They were brave enough to take on a few of my more wild ideas, such as very dark blue internal doors, a hall wall painted in blackboard paint and an aqua painted ceiling in their toddler's bedroom.
The family can now layer up on top of their comfy, neutral, functional ground, add their own art and mirrors and styling and grow their home with their growing family.
